About Green-Up Gambia
Green-Up Gambia is an established environmental organization dedicated to climate change mitigation, sustainable development, and community-driven conservation efforts. Since its establishment in 2016, the organization has been involved in restoring degraded landscapes, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and advocating for waste management solutions.
Through their initiatives such as the One Million Trees Campaign, which aligns with the African Union’s Great Green Wall Initiative, Green-Up has successfully planted over 140,000 trees, restoring 28 hectares of land. Additionally, the Clean-Up Gambia Project has mobilized communities to engage in responsible waste management, improving environmental health and promoting eco-conscious behaviors.
