Call for participation: Collaborate with policymakers on climate education in higher education


Are you a student (group) not only concerned about the climate emergency but committed to act towards systemic change? 

 

Join the Youth for Climate Education community, empowering youth leaders from around the world to collaborate with policymakers on embedding climate education in higher education curricula.

The Youth for Climate Education was initiated as part of the Youth and Education project (Sept 2021 – July 2022), a collaboration of UNEP and Students Organizing for Sustainability (SOS) International. After this project finished, the community continues with coordination support from Change the Chamber*Lobby for Climate, USPESD, and Fridays for Future Climate Education.

  • Form a national group of students committed to be involved in advocating for climate education in your country
  • Contact decision makers in your country and organize meetings with them to present and discuss your asks
  • Use and adapt our manifesto for climate education to the needs in your country
  • Exchange your challenges, strategies, successes and lessons with other students
